This policy explains what CP Enterprises of SC LLC ("we", "us"), which runs Carolina Steel Buildings™, collects through this website, why, and who we share it with. We collect only what we need to respond to your quote request.
What you give us
- Contact details: name, mobile phone number and email address.
- Project details you choose to share: what you are building, size, location (state, county, ZIP), what framing you need, timeline, budget range, your role, company name, description, and preferred contact method and time.
- Plans or other files you upload.
- A consent record: whether you checked the box agreeing to be contacted by phone, text or email, the exact wording you saw and its version, the date and time, the page you submitted from, your IP address and your browser's user agent. We keep this as proof of what you agreed to.
What is collected automatically
When you submit the quote form, we also record:
- How you found us: campaign tags in the link you used (UTM parameters and ad click IDs such as gclid), the referring page, and the first page you landed on.
- Pages you viewed on this site during the visit and time spent.
- Device type, browser, language setting and screen size.
- Approximate location (city, region, postal code and time zone) that our hosting provider, Cloudflare, derives from your connection.
- If you used the steel vs. wood calculator, the inputs you entered and the result shown.
This visit information is kept in your browser's session storage until you close the tab, and is sent to us only if you submit the form.
How we use it
- To review your project, contact you about it, and match it with a manufacturing partner.
- To understand which pages and advertising bring in requests.
- To prevent spam and abuse of the form. For rate limiting we keep a one-way hash of your IP address for up to a day, not the address itself.
Who we share it with
- Manufacturing partners. To get you a quote, we share your contact details and project information with the manufacturer we match you with.
- Service providers that host the site and handle our data and email, such as Cloudflare, under their own privacy terms.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your mobile number with third parties for their marketing.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
Cloudflare Turnstile may be used on the quote form to tell people from bots.
How long we keep it
We review stored requests regularly. A request with no activity for 24 months is deleted. If a project became an order, we keep the record for up to 7 years for business and tax records. You can ask us to delete yours sooner. If you ask us not to contact you, we delete your request but keep your phone number and email on a do-not-contact list so we don't contact you again.
Your choices
- Email chad@cpenterprisessc.com to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you.
- Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. See Text message consent.
- Ask us by email to stop contacting you. We add you to our do-not-contact list.
Children
This site is for adults planning building projects. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, including encrypted connections. No method is perfectly secure.
Changes
We will post changes here and update the date at the top.
